Among the awards received were from JD Power USA 2021 Initial Quality Study (IQS).
Based on the responses of 110,827 new car owners to a 223-point questionnaire on vehicle safety, driving experience, dealership experience, and resale value, the Hyundai Accent was hailed as the best small car in the 2021 IQS, which is now on its 35th year. The Hyundai Tucson finished second in its segment at the same study.
Further, ALG — a division of JD Power USA — hailed the 2022 Hyundai Accent as Best in Resale Value for 2022 in the subcompact category; the 2022 Kona in the Micro Utility category; and the 2022 Kona EV in the mass-market electric category.
In the Philippines, the Accent is still the brand’s best-selling passenger sedan, the Tucson is the highly-appreciated sport utility vehicle for Hyundai. Meanwhile, the Ioniq is one of the first electric vehicles that has been introduced to the Philippine market.
