Land Rover to stage ‘Destination Defender’ in Nov.

The United States (US) arm of Land Rover announced that it will stage “Destination Defender” next month. The event will take place from November 12-13, 2022, at Oz Farm in Saugerties, New York.

According to Land Rover North America, "Destination Defender" will be a premium weekend celebration curated for enthusiasts.

“The Land Rover Defender is an iconic vehicle recognized globally for much-loved design and extraordinary capability. Since its redesign, Defender has created a strong following from a new group of enthusiasts and owners. We’ve created Destination Defender to celebrate the Defender lifestyle with our owners and enthusiasts and honor those who give back through our Defender Service Awards,” said Land Rover North America President and Chief Executive (CEO) Joe Eberhardt.

The event will be highlighted by the Defender Service Awards Celebration—an initiative honoring US and Canadian organizations that make a difference in their communities. 

Missions of organizations that align to one of the five contest categories of Search and Rescue, Environmental and Conservation, Veterans Outreach, Community Service, and Animal Welfare are encouraged to submit videos on how a new Land Rover Defender would help aid in their organization’s mission.

Land Rover partner brands will also join the second annual Defender Service Awards, to further recognize the incredible works of service of these organizations. These include presenting sponsor Chase, as well as category sponsors Pelican, Outside Interactive, Dentsu, ei3, and Kong Company.

The festival will include an adventure area offering guided workshops and experiences. A specially curated collection of Defender vehicles through the Decades will also be displayed.

The weekend will also feature Defender-inspired activations, photo moments, premium amenities, and a marketplace that will offer an array of exclusive branded goods and apparel. Curated adventure activities, on-site camping and glamping, food experiences, and integration with the Hudson Valley lifestyle, make Destination Defender the perfect getaway.
