MIAS 2019: JAC Showcases Brand-New JAC S7 with Better Safety Features

JAC Motors celebrates its 55 years of being in the industry with the all-new JAC S7 at the 2019 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) last April 4, 2019, at the World Trade Center Metro Manila in Pasay City.

Now carrying a new power train, the compact SUV is now specifically built to withstand Metro Manila's traffic-infested roads.

"S7 is different from the previous S7 because it has a new power train. Before, we have 3.0 turbo engine, but Manila is a very traffic (oriented) city. Oil consumption is a top concern of our customers. So in order to (satisfy) our customers, we're bringing the 1.5 turbo engine for S7. This engine has lower fuel consumption and a very strong output in power. It also provides more solution for entertainment," says JAC Regional Sales Manager Cannon Wang.

Better and Cooler Features

The S7 also offers more safety features compared to its predecessor.

"It has a lot of safety features like when you're driving a car, and you're sleepy, the S7 will give you an automatic reminder to drive straight. Another is when you're driving and your tire explodes, this tire will maintain its shape and maintain the direction and ensure the safety of the driver," Wang explains of the compact SUV.

S2, S3 Models--and Beyond

The Chinese company also introduced its other models in the event: the S2 and S3 models.

"The S2 is most valued for SUV in the market. Price is between PHP700,000 to PHP 800,000, and with this price, you can get a lot of features that you cannot get in any of other competitors."

Meanwhile, the S3 is between the S2 and S7 in size. It now offers a "bigger engine, with a bigger screen and air quality purifier inside" says Wang. "We also have a bigger room in front and those in the trunk. If you have a bigger family, S3 is a good choice to have," he added.

Wang also added that they're planning to launch the S4 model "by the end of this year or the beginning of next year." and "will be between S3 and S7."

"Forget Normal"

The company explains the reason behind its slogan, "Forget Normal".

"Compared to JAC, you'll find the difference, what's the true meaning of value for money. We give more for a reasonable cost. We also offer a lot of more technology specification, and we give our customers a five-year warranty to make sure our customers who use their cars are worry-free."
