“It will be our mission to carry on the brand’s legacy. We are looking forward to growing General Tire’s market share with the initial lineup of products, as we anticipate additional tire models in the future. The brand’s advancement is guided by our strong drive to market new sizes and patterns that will cater to a larger audience in the local SUV (sport utility vehicle) and 4x4 scene,” YHI Philippines General Manager Jason Delloso said.

During the brand relaunch at the ongoing 2024 TransSport Show, General Tire introduced its Grabber lineup.

The first on its roster is the General Tire Grabber HT6, a tire designed for everyday use for urban terrains. It is priced at P12,900. Meanwhile, those who want a more versatile tire can check out the Grabber AT6. The said product is suited for both on- and off-road use and is priced at P13,800.

Moving on to a more outdoor-focused offering. General Tire’s local wing has highlighted the Grabber A/Tx and Grabber X3. The former boasts a “Three Peak Mountain Snowflake” badge, which means that it has been “certified” for use in all weather conditions. The latter, on the other hand, is built for rough conditions and has been designed to grip mud, dirt, and rocks.

They are priced at P17,900 and P28,800, respectively.

While General Tire’s current offerings in the Philippines are suited for SUVs and pickup trucks, Delloso noted that the company will expand its line up by introducing passenger car tires later this year.

General Tire is available nationwide through Wheel Gallery, Gears, Tri-J Marketing in Cebu, and Power Point Enterprises Cagayan De Oro.
