MMDA: Closure of Tandang Sora Flyover Improved Traffic Flow
Contrary to previous assumptions, the closing down of Tandang Sora Flyover actually helped ease traffic flow in the area instead of worsening it.
Almost a week after the flyover’s closure, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) reported that traffic situation along Commonwealth Avenue has improved.
According to Pialago, the MMDA has been receiving positive feedback regarding traffic flow in the area since the Tandang Sora flyover was closed. The agency estimates that travel time improved by almost 15 minutes.
"It turned out to be positive. We've been receiving positive feedbacks on social media, 'yung ilan din hong personnel namin na dito rin umuuwi," Pialago closed.
