Now, Here's a Real Jet You Can Drive on the Street

Just to be clear: This vehicle is a real, street-legal "Lear Jet fuselage" that was turned into a car.

That's not to say it didn't take “blood, sweat and tears" to make it. According to one of its masterminds, Frank DeAngelo, the entire project took them 12 years to make. And the process of transforming the vehicle into the Limo-Jet involved almost 100 people.

This one-of-a-kind Limo-Jet is owned by Jetsetter, Inc., and was conceptualized by Dan Harris and Frank DeAngelo way back in 2006. It made its debut at KnowldegeFest, a mobile electronics convention in Dallas.

Perhaps it looks quirky, but here's the best part: you can actually drive this "flying car" on the streets.

This vehicle's length is around 42 feet, and weighs around 12,000 pounds. Finished with an attractive, red metallic exterior, the jet engines have been replaced with a V8 engine. The wheelbase is extremely long, enough to brave through any floods--except perhaps Noah's flood. The rear wing can be a tad bit problematic if you go through a drive through at McDonald’s, so better just park it somewhere at the back (if it fits).

The interiors are filled with speakers, screens, and lights to create a mini VIP party inside. There is only one entry door at the side, so you have to be patient and wait for your turn. The front part is only reserved for the "driver-pilot," and you can see various screens / monitors to give a clearer view at the back.
