Oil firms slash pump prices for 2nd time in May 2025
MANILA: In case you were too busy with the midterm elections yesterday: oil companies are set to cut down prices of their products at the pump this week — the second straight downward adjustment for the month of May.

The adjustment took effect today.Based on their respective advisories, Cleanfuel, Jetti, Petron, Phoenix Petroleum, Seaoil and Unioil shall reduce the prices of gasoline by P0.30 per liter and diesel by P0.90 per liter.
In addition, those that offer kerosene will implement a P1.25-per-liter trim on the aforementioned product.

Prior adjustments
To recall, here are the adjustments last May 5:
- Gasoline: P0.55-per-liter slide
- Diesel: P0.65-per-liter reduction
- Kerosene: P0.90-per-liter trim
