Omoda, Jaecoo roll out connected-car apps for owners, dealer network in PH

MANILA: Omoda and Jaecoo Motor Philippines has unveiled two new digital platforms meant to further advance vehicle ownership experience and authorized dealerships deliver more responsive after-sales care.

In a statement, the Philippine arm of the aforementioned Chery Group-owned automotive brands said that CarLinko and CarSynco will serve harmonizing roles in its connected-car ecosystem.

According to Omoda and Jaecoo Motor Philippines, the rollout of the two new mobile applications reflect the brands’ commitment in extending customer by integrating digital tools into everyday vehicle use and maintenance.

CarLinko

Owners of compatible Omoda and Jaecoo can remotely access select vehicle functions via CarLinko mobile application.

Depending on the model and its equipment, among its supported features include:

• Air-conditioning controls
• Window operation
• Seat heating
• Charging reservations

Additionally, this app also shows vehicle status information and notifications to help owners keep track of certain conditions, including low battery levels and low tire pressure.

Available for free download through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, the playtform is supported by the following models retailed in the Philippine market:

Jaecoo	J5 EV EJ6 J7 PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle)

CarSynco

Complementing the customer-facing application is CarSynco.

This digital tool intended for authorized dealerships gives access vehicle status information, helping them assess a vehicle's condition, identify potential issues, and recommend appropriate maintenance or service interventions when needed.

Omoda and Jaecoo Motor Philippines shared that through CarSynco, its dealer-network have a more proactive approach to after-sales support for their customers.

However, the company emphasized that CarSynco does not give dealerships access to a vehicle's location.

Activation process

Omoda and Jaecoo Motor Philippines explained that its authorized dealer needs to register the vehicle through CarSynco first before the owner can link it to CarLinko.

The distributor also advised customers to review the applicable consent forms, privacy notices, and user instructions to understand how their personal information and vehicle-related data are collected, processed, and handled.
