Omoda reaches 134K global sales milestone

Omoda has already sold 134,078 units globally.

Per the Chinese carmaker, the said milestone reflects the company’s stable growth and is a sign of the emerging brand’s excellent market performance.

Last month, for example, Omoda has sold 12,148 cars world wide.

Its strongest markets include Eastern Europe, Asia Pacific, as well as Central and South America.

In addition to Omoda’s posted sales, the Wuhu-headquartered company said that it received recognition from various politicians and automobile organizations.

Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto and Malaysian Minister of International Trade and Industry Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz were reportedly among the political personalities that acknowledged Omoda.

Likewise, Omoda earned “high praise” from the organizers and participants of Mr. South Africa where the brand provided professional and quality vehicle services for the competition.

As for its offerings, Omoda revealed that the Omoda 5 was honored with the Best Mid-Size Crossover/SUV award by Malaysia’s well-known media organization, Star Media Group sometime in October.

A month later, the Omoda 5 has secured the Best 5-Seater SUV accolade in the annual editors choice awards conducted by one of Malaysia’s largest automotive media outlets.

Further, the Omoda 5 is said to have been shortlisted for the World Women Car of the Year awards.

While Omoda reports receipt of such awards and acknowledgments, the brand is yet to make its formal entry into the Philippine automotive industry.

Despite reports of the arrival of Omoda cars in the country, Filipino car buyers might have to wait until the first half of 2024 to see and experience what the company has to offer.
