Russ Swift to showcase Subaru’s vehicle capabilities next weekend in Davao

Motor Image Pilipinas Inc. (MIPI) is set to bring back world-renowned British precision driver Russ Swift to Mindanao next week — the second time that he will be performing in the region.

In a statement, the company shared that the Guinness World Record holder will be at the SM Ecoland, in Davao City, on November 25-27, 2022. He will showcase the capabilities of the Forester sport utility vehicle, the new BRZ sports coupe and the all-new WRX sedan — all powered by Subaru Boxer engines.

The three-day show will be partnered with the Subaru Advanced Technology Drive, where customers can test drive the latest Subaru vehicles in a special track designed to highlight the brand’s latest technologies.

The stunt driver, who also performed at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) 2022, will do his signature Swift Parking stunt, along with J-turns, Donuts and a dance routine, to wow the Davao crowd.

To note, Swift, who has a very strong following among Filipino fans, already performed in various parts of the Philippines, such as Manila, Cebu and Pampanga, over the past two decades. More than performing, he has said that nothing beats seeing his spectators, both kids and adults alike, smile as he does his heart-stopping maneuvers for them.

The schedule for the show — free of charge and open for everyone to enjoy — are as follows:

• November 25 (Friday): 1 p.m. / 3 p.m. / 5 p.m.
• November 26 (Saturday): 1 p.m. / 3 p.m. / 5 p.m.
• November 27 (Sunday): 1 p.m. / 3 p.m. / 5 p.m.
