Team Ridemax fields Linglong Tires in PH tire arena

MANILA: Linglong Tires has officially entered the Philippines.

Introduced locally under Team Ridemax, the new brand is eyed to boost the distributor’s foothold in the country’s tire market.

In a statement, the multi-brand firm said that the brand is positioned neatly between affordability and performance — targeting everyday Filipino motorists.

Team Ridemax sees Linglong as a fitting response to the local customer’s continuing pursuit for a dependable yet easy-on-the-wallet tire products, as it offers practical, value-driven options tailored to local driving conditions.

In rolling out the brand, Team Ridemax came out with a local campaign for Linglong Tires, “Bagong kasama sa kalsada,” positioning it as a trusted companion for everyday drives. Serving as the face of the brand is Senator Joseph Victor Ejercito.

According to Team Ridemax Chief Marketing Officer Jarvis Corral, Linglong is a strong addition to the company’s roster and supports the company’s broader goal of delivering accessible quality and reliable performance to Filipino motorists.

Meanwhile, National Sales Manager Edilyn Briones emphasized how the brand fits into the company’s long-term strategy.

She noted that Linglong hits a sweet spot in today’s market—offering durability, reliability, and accessibility in one package. By positioning it in the mid-market segment, the company hopes to bridge the gap between budget-friendly options and higher-end offerings, making dependable mobility more attainable for a wider range of drivers.

Briones also revealed that Team Ridemax is working closely with a select network of dealers nationwide. This approach, she explained, allows for tighter quality control, more focused marketing efforts, and stronger long-term partnerships—ultimately ensuring consistent service for customers.

Who is Linglong Tires?

It might be a newcomer in the Philippines, but Linglong Tires has been around for some time already — present in 173 countries and backed by a network of over 100,000 outlets spanning Europe, the Middle East, the United States, the Asia Pacific, and Africa.

Linglong Tires traces its beginnings back to 1975 when it was founded by Shandong Linglong Tyre Company. Over the decades, it has evolved into a fully integrated tire manufacturer, covering everything from research and development to production and distribution.

Its product lineup spans passenger car tires, light truck applications, commercial truck and bus radials, and even off-road tires used across various industries.

Today, the company operates seven research institutions and seven production facilities worldwide, supported by a workforce of around 19,000 employees.

As Linglong begins its rollout in the Philippines, both the brand and Team Ridemax are banking on sustained growth through dealer partnerships and continued market engagement.
