The Newest Porsche GTS is the Sportiest in the Macan Lineup

The Porsche has a new member in its compact SUV family. Meet the Macan Gran Turismo  Sport--or GTS for short. Named for its "outstanding driving dynamics", this car has the "agility and responsiveness of a true sports car", with a powerful engine, performance-oriented chassis, characteristic design, and enhanced equipment.

This range-topper has a 2.9-liter V6 biturbo engine that can spin out a top speed of 35-hp and 520 Nm @ 1,750-5,000. When combined with its newly-adapted PDK dual clutch  transmission and the optional Sport Chrono package, the Macan GTS can go from zero to  100 km/h in a short space of 4.7 seconds.

Its chassis has been lowered for better "lateral dynamics". And when you combine it with  its standard 20-inch RS Spyder Design wheels and cast iron brakes, then it really feels like you're riding a sports car. It becomes even better if you add in optional features, like  the Adaptive air suspension and Porsche Surface Coated Brake (PSCB) with tungsten carbide coating, or the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB).

Exterior: Sporty in and out

The Macan GTS is not just sporty in performance--it's also sporty in appearance. The black wheels in satin-gloss black, red brake calipers and trim strips in high-gloss black shows a dynamic facade. They're even more accentuated with the standard Sport Design's new front and rear trim and striking side skirts. Meanwhile, the front apron, front section, and rear are still highlighted by black painted elements--the true marks of all GTS models.

Want to make a cool impression on the spot? You can opt for the optional LED headlights in black with PDLS Plus.

And we don't even have to mention its intense red paint. Just one look at it, and all heads will turn.

Interior: Luxurious Elegance

"Sporty" is balanced with a lot of elegance inside the car. Brushed aluminum accents add to that dynamic theme, but Porsche also made sure to include comfort and elegance in the mix. The seat center panels are made from Alcantara. The sports steering wheel has a wheel rim made from smooth leather. The sport seats also come with an eight-way adjustment feature plus side bolsters to add better stability during cornering.

Red may be an intense sign for many, but the 2020 Porsche Macan makes red look not just good on the outside, but also on the inside as well. Its seat upholstery is in Carmine Red or Crayon with additional Alcantara features and color accents.

Convenience

Those who love music will enjoy BOSE's Surround System. And if you can't live without your phone, then you'd be glad that the new smartphone tray with inductive charging function is one of its many personalization options.

It's also worth noting that the GTS has heated windscreen and optional ionizer to make those long drives safer and more comfortable on the road.

Safety

Some of the safety features included in the new Porsche GTS Macan are adaptive cruise control including Traffic Jam Assist, Park Assist including rear view camera and Surround View.

The new Macan GTS is available to order now.
