This is the 2020 Ford GT Supercar Liquid Carbon Edition
Ford has recently announced its upgrades to the Ford GT supercar for 2020. Now with a better cooling system, an increased engine power of 660 horsepower, an updated design, and a liquid carbon fiber body, Ford continues to set the standard on what performance and innovation is all about.
“Ford GT continues to be the pinnacle of Ford performance,” said Ed Krenz, Ford Performance chief program engineer.
“GT is always the ultimate expression of Ford racing innovation, and as we know from the 1966 Le Mans through today, that means constantly raising our game for our customers as well as earning the checkered flag.”
EcoBoost Engine
Aside from the 13 additional horsepower of previous GT supercars, the 2020 GT's EcoBoost engine now boasts of a broader torque band and a more modified engine calibration. There were also mechanical upgrades, such as a gallery-cooled pistons with higher-energy ignition coils.
There's also a new buttress air ducts designed to maximize airflow by up to 50 percent. Meanwhile, larger intercoolers preserve peak power for strenuous performance by keeping charge air temperature cooler. There is also increased suspension damping in track mode to improve body control and handling. This is epecially true for high-speed, temporary parts of closed-course circuits.
Liquid Carbon Body
The new Ford GT Liquid Carbon has one special feature worth noting: its carbon fiber body. Lightweight, and with a special clear paint, its natural black weave texture adds an understated appeal.

Ford GT Liquid Carbon has standard carbon fiber wheels. You have the option to choose titanium lugnuts, six-point racing harness anchors, five caliper colors, and five interior options. You can further personalize it by adding over two stipes on top. Mirror caps and stripes are also available in any of the seven standard paint colors.
