Toll Adjustment for SCTEX on Hold?

The scheduled toll adjustment for the Subic Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) this month has yet to push through. This as the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) has received a Motion for Reconsideration (MR) when the 19-percent toll hike was approved. TRB consultant Alberto Suansing told CARMUDI PHILIPPINES that the MR was received last month, after the Board has approved the price adjustment for the toll fees. "The motion needs to be resolved first," Suansing said, adding that the Board is scheduled to meet this month to discuss the motion. The adjustment was set to take effect on May 20. The adjustment of toll rates was set to go with the adjustment of the toll fees for the Muntinlupa-Cavite Expressway (MCX). The SCTEx is under the NLEX Corporation while the MCX is under Ayala Corporation.
