V100 Mandello, new factory to mark Moto Guzzi's 100th anniversary
As Italian motorcycle maker Moto Guzzi celebrates its 100th anniversary, it has teased a generation of models in the V100 Mandello, and announced plans for a new factory and museum.
While the manufacturer hasn't released official figures at the moment, speculation has it that the V100 Mandello will be powered by a 1,050cc liquid-cooled engine. The sport bike's source of power will also reportedly make 115hp, compliant to Euro-5 emissions standards, and be the basis for future engines of various sizes.
"The V100 Mandello’s stunning lines, cutting-edge engine and state-of-the-art technologies introduce the Moto Guzzi brand for the next 100 years," the manufacturer said in a statement.
The new motorcycle will be unveiled on November 23 at the EICMA international motorcycle show in Milan.
Also part of the company's vision "Road to 2121: Moto Guzzi’s next 100 years,” is the renovation of its factory in Mandello del Lario, Italy. Moto Guzzi said the site will feature a location with open spaces for public use, a meeting place for the community, and a museum that will showcase Guzzi motorcycles.
The site will wear a green halo as it will use "efficient energy management, thanks to photovoltaic systems and eco-sustainable materials." Construction will start late 2021, and will be completed in the first half of 2025.
