Vespa Philippines celebrated the brand’s 75th anniversary with the launch of the new limited-run 75th Anniversary Edition Primavera and GTS in an event held at Ayala Malls Manila Bay last Friday.
In his speech, Vespa Philippines President Willy Tee Ten said, “Welcome to the launching of the limited-edition Vespa 75th. Today, we will celebrate life. 75 years of joyful style that surpasses the milestone of 19 million units produced over the years; 19 million stories of life, change, and dream. Thank you very much for supporting Vespa all these years, you are the reason why we are celebrating today. Vespa is a global brand that highlights its heritage while embracing lifestyle, youth, and prestige. It is a legend, not just a scooter, but an icon of style, fashion, and design.
“The limited-edition Vespa 75th will only be available this year in Primavera and GTS models — a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to embrace victory while living in the future,” he added.
Both limited-edition models are finished in Giallo 75th paint and represent the pinnacle of the brand’s range including a 4.3-inch TFT full-color display with an integrated Vespa MIA smartphone connectivity system.
The Vespa Primavera sports a 150cc engine while the Vespa GTS packs a 300cc motor.
A special round bag, a vintage Vespa plate, a personal owner’s book, and a slew of postcards are included with the purchase of any limited anniversary-edition models.
Showcased in the launching of the 75th Anniversary Edition models are Vespa’s stylish scoots such as the Primavera, the Sprint, the Vespa S 125, and the GTS Super Tech.
Also featured are unicorns including the Vespa 50 S, the Vespa GS 160, and the Vespa VL 150.
There was also some merchandise on display, like Vespa shirts and shoes.
“As I always say, Vespa is pandemic-proof. Now, may I add, it is a global cultural phenomenon. Vespa Philippines is the living testimony that despite the pandemic, we are here to witness its success, not just here but in the global market as well. To all of you Vespa lovers, thank you very much. Happy birthday Vespa, 75 years young — forever young,” concluded Tee Ten.
The 75th Anniversary Edition Primavera and GTS are launched with a sticker price of P298,000 and P468,000, respectively.
