Moto Guzzi centenary book features famous devotees of brand
To celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2021, Moto Guzzi has announced the release of a book entitled Moto Guzzi: 100 Anni.
Published by Rizzoli Illustrati to celebrate the legendary eagle brand, Moto Guzzi: 100 Anni has been presented in Milan. The book spans a century of history with contributions from 10 distinguished international figures celebrating their devotion to Moto Guzzi.
The figures come from different backgrounds and careers, whose stories will be accompanied by a wealth of previously unpublished images, Moto Guzzi said.
This deep authenticity is the distinguishing characteristic of every Moto Guzzi motorcycle, and a value recognized and shared by the 10 contributors from around the world, Moto Guzzi shared.
Moto Guzzi: 100 Anni features the stories of writer Melissa Holbrook Pierson; actor Ewan McGregor; architect Greg Lynn; journalists Marco Masetti, Mat Oxley, and Akira Nishimura; DJ Ringo; designer Tom Dixon; astronaut Paolo Nespoli; and Harvard professor Jeffrey Schnapp, who also edited the book.
These Moto Guzzi enthusiasts come from London to Hollywood, Tokyo to Sardinia, Vermont to Mandello del Lario.
Since 1921, every single Moto Guzzi bike that has gone out on the world’s roads has been assembled by hand in the factory in Mandello del Lario.
Moto Guzzi is under the Piaggio Group, which also owns the scooter marque Vespa and motorcycle maker Aprilla.
