Pre-order for electrified crossover starts today
VinFast Philippines has officially launched the VF 3 to the local market.
The local launch date also started the electric compact crossover’s reservation period in the country.
“We are excited to launch the VF 3, which has been very successful in Vietnam, to the Philippine market. We believe this vehicle will bring a fresh wave to the Philippine automotive market and continue VinFast’s success story,” VinFast Philippines Chief Executive Officer Cao Ngoc Nguyen Duy said.
“With its affordability, ease of driving, and ease of ownership, the VF 3 can meet the needs of a wide range of customers, especially the younger generation, who play a key role in the transition to sustainable transportation. By introducing the VF 3, VinFast also demonstrates its commitment to contributing to the green transition in the Philippines,” he added.
The VinFast VF 3 measures 3,190 millimeters (mm) long; 1,679 mm wide; and 1,622 mm tall with a 2,075-mm wheelbase and a 191-mm ground clearance.
The three-door vehicle sports a contemporary look with its unique front fascia, black plastic bumpers and claddings, and a Land-Rover Defender-like side profile. It rides on 16-inch wheels.
Inside, the VinFast VF 3 comes with a 10-inch infotainment screen but lacks cluster gauge in front of the driver. Its cargo space can grow up to 285 liters.
Moving the vehicle is a 32-kilowatt electric motor that can deliver 110 Newton-meters of torque. The said mill mated to an 18.64 kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery that lets it travel up to 210 kilometers on a full charge. VinFast Philippines claimed that fast charging from 10 to 70 percent can be done in 36 minutes.
Further, the VinFast VF 3 comes with safety and driver-assist technologies and is retailed with its own portable charger.
VinFast Philippnes packaged the VF 3 with various warranty coverages (seven-year/160,000-kilometer bumper to bumper, eight-year unlimited mileage for battery [battery purchase>, and free maintenance and battery replacement if the capacity drops below 70 percent [for subscription>).
The company also noted that the customers who reserve the VF 3 from September 19-30, will enjoy a special price of P605,000 (battery subscription) or P705,000 (battery included). After the aforementioned period, prices will climb to P645,000 (battery subscription) and P745,000 (battery included).
Additionally, early VF 3 customers may choose any of the nine paint color options (four base colors and five premium options) free of charge. The premium hues have a P20,000 addition to the base price.
VinFast VF 3 owners who want to customize their car's paint beyond the nine available colors for only P40,000. This will be the only time that the firm will offer the exclusive privilege for the model
