Volkswagen Beetle will have Last Hurrah with Final Edition model
Last March 2018, Volkswagen announced that it will end the production of the Volkswagen Beetle, which is one of the iconic cars of the German automaker. However, the iconic Beetle wouldn't just exit right away as Volkswagen will give this car a last hurrah with the Final Edition model. Volkswagen will launch two special models--the Final Edition SE and the Final Edition SEL—to celebrate the Beetle's rich heritage. The Beetle's last hurrah will be available in coupe and convertible body styles.
The Final Edition coupe Beetle is fitted with chrome trims, body-color side mirrors, and heated water nozzles. SEL models, on the other hand, comes with Bi-Xenon headlights, LED daytime running lights, fog lights, and LED taillights. The Beetle Final Edition models are integrated with distinctive wheels in order to make it standout over the regular spec'd version . The SE gets a set of 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels while the SEL has 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels with chrome hubcaps and wrapped in whitewall tires.
The Beetle's last hurrah is powered by a 2.0-liter TSI engine that delivers 174 hp and 250 Nm of torque. The engine is connected to a six-speed automatic transmission. The Volkswagen Beetle Final Edition is now available in the US, however, the German automaker has yet to announce if it will be offered in other markets.
