Volvo Heavy Equipment Distributor Eyes to Maintain Posit in PH Market

With all the infrastructure projects ongoing that is being sped up by the directives of President Rodrigo Duterte, one of the major players in the heavy equipment industry is just eyeing to retain its current status in the market. In an interview during the launch of the Volvo EC200D, TopSpot Heavy Equipment, Incorporated Vice President for Machine Sales Ronald Yao told CARMUDI PHILIPPINES that the company is eyeing to maintain its position in the local market on heavy machineries.

According to Yao, the market has become more competitive with spurt of numerous brands in the country.

He made the claim, saying that for the past four years, Topspot Heavy Equipment, Inc. holds 20 percent of the market. “It’s now more challenging to maintain that position since there are a lot of players in the market,” he said.

Further, for the past five years, the annual sales for the whole market grew at around 10-12 percent per year but the figures are very different from car sales.

Currently, Yao said that they are placed within the top three best-sellers in the construction equipment market.

Topspot Heavy Equipment, Inc. is a member of the Civic Group of Companies which is the distributor for Volvo Heavy Equipment.

The all-new Volvo EC200D is said to be the world’s fastest 20-ton class excavator in the market. Claiming to have shorter cycle times and superb lifting capabilities and other significant productivity improvements that could yield to better and more efficient results.

Yao said in the press conference that the company also offers leasing in partnership with BDO as well as service packages for the EC200D.

“We know that service is very important so, we made sure we have this covered. We have branches and service points all over the country, making us just one phone call away for service. If the project is big we can provide onsite service that could stay on the area for the whole duration of the project,” Yao said.

Also, during the first year of maintenance, Topspot Heavy Equipment, Inc. also offer training to the buyer’s personnel to ensure that every Volvo equipment is handled properly and efficiently.

Moreover, Yao guaranteed that there would be ready available parts as they are also maintaining a parts deport in the country.
