Wisadkosin takes new leadership role at Hyundai Motor
MANILA: Yukontorn Wisadkosin is the new Hyundai Motor president for the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) region.
With her appointment taking effect last March 2, the newly-hailed executive will report to Don Romano, who is also assigned as the new president of Hyundai Motor Asia Pacific (HMAP).
In a statement, the company said that Wisadkosin is expected to “translate Asia Pacific Headquarters’ strategy into coordinated regional action, driving strategic integration, strengthening regional alignment, and supporting sustainable, long-term growth across ASEAN.”

Prior to her position with Hyundai, Wisadkosin served as Ford’s president for ASEAN Markets and Asia Pacific Distributor Markets. There, she led expansion and delivered sustained growth across highly competitive markets in the region.
“Vickie’s regional expertise, leadership capability, and deep understanding of ASEAN markets make her exceptionally well-suited to lead Hyundai’s next phase of growth in the region,” Romano noted.
“Her appointment also reflects our commitment to strengthening global female leadership within Hyundai.”

“I am honored to join Hyundai Motor Asia Pacific and excited to work with teams across ASEAN. Together, we will build stronger regional alignment, accelerate transformation, and deliver long-term value for our customers and partners,” she was quoted as saying.
With her appointment, HMAP believes that that it is bolstering its commitment to building a more integrated, agile, and future-ready ASEAN organization, positioning Hyundai for sustainable growth and long-term competitiveness in the region.
