Inside, the Geely Emgrand features a spacious cabin filled with soft-touch materials and premium features. It comes with special suede imitation leather seats that are not the plushiest in its segment, but ensure that everyone on board maintains a good posture even on longer trips. You have plenty of room at the front. Meanwhile, two passengers will definitely be comfortable in the second row but adding a third one would be a different story. It also has a sunroof, which is perfect for those “IG-worthy” pictures.

For its price, the Emgrand comes with a high-tech cockpit and dashboard. It is equipped with a 12.3-inch infotainment display that has Apple CarPlay, mirror link, Bluetooth, AM/FM radio, and is linked to a 6-speaker sound system. Additionally, drivers are given a 12.3-inch HD digital instrument panel that allows them to accurately monitor their current driving conditions. They also have a microfiber leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel and a premium-looking gear lever for a satisfying shifting experience.

Ultimately, the Emgrand’s cabin excels in practicality and functionality courtesy of its front cup holders, two USB ports (front row - 1, second row - 1), front 12V power connector, and a trunk shelf. 

From the outside, the Geely Emgrand doesn’t look like your typical B-segment sedan. It features an elegant design, which looks very premium for entry-level standards. It also helps that it is bigger than most of its rivals. 

It has an assertive facade enhanced by a front chrome grille. It has a nice flare courtesy of its LED headlamps with an auto opening function as well as DRLs. On the sides, sharp character lines give its silhouette more depth. It runs on a classy-looking set of 17-inch alloy wheels. 

Trailing behind this vehicle at night, its LED rear lamps with a continuous strip at the middle will definitely catch your attention. For more visibility, it is also given halogen rear turn signals, fog lights, and reverse lights. Overall, the Geely Emgrand measures 4,638 mm in length, 1,822 mm in width, and 1,460 mm in height. It has a 2,650 mm wheelbase.

The Geely Emgrand utilizes a suspension combination of a McPherson type at the front and a Torsion Beam non-independent at the rear. This suspension is tuned for comfort. Hence, you’ll be able to enjoy a pliant and comfortable ride inside this sedan. It can also absorb bumps and uneven concrete pavements relatively well. However, since its suspension prioritizes comfort, there are tendencies when the driver and everyone on board would feel a certain level of floatiness when hitting turns or corners at higher speeds. But, overall, this sedan can offer a really relaxing and gentle ride when driven sensibly in the city.

The Geely Emgrand is powered by the brand’s all-new 1.5D mid-mounter direct injection engine that produces a maximum power output of 90 kW (121 hp) and a maximum torque of 152 Nm. It is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission system and utilizes a front-wheel drivetrain. 

Admittedly, its engine is a bit limited in terms of power and torque. Hence, overtaking would be a bit of an issue with this vehicle. But, in terms of practicality, it delivers good fuel efficiency and has just enough in the tank to get you from point A to point B in time and without spending too much. Its NVH suppression is also pretty decent for a B-segment sedan. Overall, the Emgrand is well-designed as a reliable everyday vehicle in the city. 

The Geely Emgrand is equipped with several safety and security features including a Bosch 9.3 ESP System, cruise control, an intelligent tire pressure monitoring system, rear park radars, a rear view camera, multiple airbags, front and rear seatbelts reminder, front tension reducer seatbelts, child safety features, and an auto unlock system after vehicle collision among others. 

It utilizes discs for front braking, while drums for rear braking. Its braking setup is supported by an anti-lock braking system, brake assist system, electronic braking force distribution system, traction control system, uphill auxiliary control, and a brake priority system.

Currently, the Geely Emgrand is a really compelling choice for budget-oriented consumers who are in the market to buy a sedan-type vehicle. It has just the right mix of everything: practicality, comfort, and luxury for a B-segment sedan. Hence, it definitely has a high value for money.
