On the inside too, there have been some significant changes made to the cabin of the Mitsubishi Mirage G4 2021. The cabin now has much better fit and finish levels, and the equipment levels too have risen. As like before, the interior of the Mirage G4 continues to be a spacious and comfortable place to be in.

The dashboard of the Mitsubishi Mirage G4 now feels much more premium than ever before, with the sedan now getting a new three-spoke multi-functional steering wheel with tilt adjustability. Other bits like revised instrument console, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, automatic climate control and push start-stop button finally make the Mirage G4 feel like a car from the modern era. The piano black finish for the center console and transmission lever console uplift the ambience of the car even more.

Mitsubishi has finally replaced the ageing and boring looking exterior design of the Mirage G4 with an all-new design language, which is on the lines of its bigger crossovers and SUVs. This has made the Mitsubishi Mirage G4 look quite bold and refreshing, thus heavily enhancing its visual appeal.

At the front, the Mitsubishi Mirage G4 too now gets the X-themed front fascia like other Mitsubishi UVs. The large and bold looking face of the Mirage G4 now has a sleek looking trapezoidal grille with a couple of chrome slats, bigger headlamps with projector bulbs and daytime running LEDs and large C-shaped chrome housings for the fog lamps. To accommodate these changes, even the front bumper has been heavily revised now.

The Mitsubishi Mirage G4 continues to look simple from the sides, with the new 15-inch alloy wheels helping matters here. The simple and clean lines might look a bit boring when compared to the youthful-looking front profile.

At the back, the changes in the Mitsubishi Mirage G4 are not as massive as to how they are at the front. However, they are subtle enough to liven up the appeal of this compact sedan. The rear of the Mitsubishi Mirage G4 now gets tweaked tail lamps with LED inserts and a nice looking chrome embellishment over the license plate housing.

The Mitsubishi Mirage G4 is an easy car to live with for urban conditions, thanks to its low turning radius of 4.8 meters and comfortable low-speed ride quality. The suspension combination of Macpherson struts with a stabilizer at the front and a torsion beam at the rear feels plush for low-speed city rides and composed for long distances as well. However, the steering feels too light at higher speeds, which robs the overall driving appeal.

Under the skin, the Mitsubishi Mirage G4 is the same good old car like before, which is both good and bad. It’s good because the 1.2-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated engine is one of the most fuel-efficient and refined engines in its class. And it’s bad because, the engine is not known for being a choice of enthusiasts, with a below-average performance at higher rpms. The engine, which pumps out 78 PS of maximum power and 100 Nm of maximum torque, can be had with both 5-speed manual and CVT gearbox options.

Being a budget-oriented compact sedan, the Mitsubishi Mirage G4 gets only the bare essentials when it comes to safety. The list of safety features in the Mitsubishi Mirage G4 includes dual front airbags and ABS with EBD.

With the extensive changes to its exterior design and subtle changes to the interior cabin and equipment list, the Mitsubishi Mirage G4 feels much more complete and desirable than ever before.
