Hyundai H350 Review
Hyundai H350 Overview
Luxury vans are not just for celebrities anymore. In fact, the Hyundai H350 was already introduced as a large van for a common man’s family. It has a sufficient amount of modernity, comfort, luxury, and convenience that can go with both commercial and personal usage.
Its design is inspired by the Fluidic Sculpture which is the natured-inspired design philosophy of Hyundai Motor Company.
The Hyundai H350 was first launched in 2017 as a much larger than a normal van. This is a relatively new entrant in the full-sized van segment but still has a lot to offer. With its unibody construction, the weight is considerably low.
H350’s engine is Euro 5 compliant and allows an impressive seating capacity of 13 persons. It is available in two variants namely Hyundai H350 2.5 A2 Minibus DLS and DLX with the price ranging from P 2.69 Million up to P 2.73 Million. As for the colors, the available are Black and White only.
Hyundai H350 Interior
This is where the magic happens in H350. While the exterior is tad boring and simple, its interior is totally different. Its ambience really makes you feel like a celebrity who is on a road tour!
Looking at the dashboard, you may find it very premium-looking given its design. This 14-inch seater van is clad with simulated leather. The configuration for the seats is remarkable. The driver’s seat is sliding, reclining, height-adjustable, with head and armrest while the assistant’s seat is also sliding and reclining with headrest. Meanwhile, the passenger’s seats are reclining with headrest, seat back handles, seatback pocket.
As for the instrument cluster, it includes a speedometer with odometer and trip counter, combined meter including fuel and water temperature gauges. The audio system is composed of M300 which includes both Radio and USB for MP3 as well as roof speaker for the passengers. As for the airconditioning system, it features a manual type heater control with Roof in air conditioner.
When it comes to storage spaces, there are cubbyholes and small compartments where you can put your stuff up so this is really ideal for a big family.
Hyundai H350 Exterior
This car from Hyundai has lived up to the normal expectations of large vans being bland in design. Only the front fascia seems to be the one striking part of this car. It’s embellished with a large hexagonal grille that gives a premium feel and a headlamp cluster with projector headlights and daytime running LEDs.
There’s really not much to talk about the exterior of H350 given that it has simple aesthetics. Apart from the sliding door that is ideal for tight spaces, there are no other exterior features that can be highlighted. The boxy shape and the 16-inch six-spoke wheels are also not adding up to improve the overall appeal of the van.
The wing-like opening pattern for the rear doors and the vertical tail lamps are not that much eye-catching but fair enough to look at.
Overall, Hyundai needs to take a moment and rethink the design of this large van given it has a lot of potential in the market.
Hyundai H350 Ride & Handling
Handling the suspension is McPherson Strut type Independent Suspension with transverse leaf for the front and rigid-type parabolic leaf spring for the rear. As for the steering wheel, it is equipped with a 4-spoke, rack and pinion type, tilt and telescopic steering column. This car gives an average comfort while riding even on bumps thanks to the twin-tube gas-charged type shock absorbers in the front and rear.
Hyundai H350 Engine & Fuel Consumption
Going through the powertrain, the H350 is equipped with 2497cc A2 2.5L, 4 stroke-cycle, water-cooled, direct-injection diesel engine. This mill is Euro 5 compliant and has a WGT (Wastegate) turbocharged engine system. It can fire up to 170 PS at 3300 rpm and 422 Nm torque at 1750 rpm.
This mill is mated with a T045S6 6-speed manual transmission and has a maximum speed of 156 kph.
H350’s engine performance is relatively fine. After all, it’s a lifestyle van so we really don’t need to get into the specs that much.
Hyundai H350 Braking & Safety
The service brakes are handled by a Hydraulic with vacuum servo assistance, a dual circuit with Pad auto adjuster, and Disc pad indicator (electric) while the Internal expanding type at the rear wheel is in charge of the parking brakes.
As for safety, it has the standard assets like an airbag and Anti-Lock Braking System as well as VDC or Vehicle Dynamic Control. Other safety features include keyless entry with alarm, tachograph, rear parking assist, child safety locks, rear seat belts, seatbelt warning, crash sensor, front and side-impact beams, and engine check warning.
Hyundai H350 Verdict
Overall, this van is great for long hauls and family out of towns. Through Hyundai H350, the stereotypes on large vans that they are just for celebrities might stop. This car is ideal for large families who love to go out and travel altogether with ample spaces for everyone and their luggage as well. Although the car might not be able to amaze you with its technological features, its standard safety features and spacious cabin might suffice. If we’re going to talk about the price, it is relatively alright for such a package but of course, Hyundai can still improve the exterior design of this luxury car.
