Like most vehicles in its class, the Isuzu Traviz’s interior focuses more on daily practicality and functionality than aesthetics. It boasts a comfortable front cabin that can effectively accommodate three passengers through good ergonomics and spacious legroom. For a more comfortable ride, you now have the option to add an air conditioning system inside your Traviz. Aside from this, the driver can also enjoy an easy-to-read console and a power steering function, ensuring that he or she will be able to drive with ease despite maneuvering a truck. Its traditional built-in radio system, however, needs an update. 

One of the main strengths of the Isuzu Traviz is its class-leading 1,660 kg gross payload for the S variant and 1,655 kg payload for the L variant, which can accommodate more cargo or passengers depending on your truck’s function or body application. The interior of this truck is designed to withstand heavy-duty cargo.

The Isuzu Traviz showcases the brand’s modern approach on a commercial vehicle’s exterior styling. It follows an aerodynamic cab design that is engineered for both durability and lightness. At the front, it has a pair of curved halogen headlights and a toothed grille, which give this truck a unique appearance on the road. Although the exterior design of the Traviz is pretty simple and straightforward, its body can be adjusted based on your personal needs. It can be converted into a utility van, an aluminum van, a dropside truck, or a refrigerated van. 

In terms of dimensions, both S and L variants are 1,695 mm in overall width and 1,955 mm in overall height. The former is 4,450 mm in overall length and has a 2,250 mm wheelbase. On the other hand, the latter is 4,600 mm in overall length and has a 2,400 mm wheelbase. It runs on a set of 14-inch wheels.

The Isuzu Traviz utilizes a suspension combination of a double wishbone with coil spring at the front and a semi-elliptical leaf spring at the rear. Its suspension is credited for its easy maneuverability and its minimal 4.5 meter turning radius. Although this truck is not immune to road bumps and is sometimes bouncy or even clanky, its suspension system allows the driver to steer and turn it with ease (considering its size), ensuring that he or she will get a relatively comfortable driving experience while on the go.  

The Isuzu Traviz is powered by a 2.5L 4JA1 direct injection common rail blue power diesel engine that produces a maximum power output of 78 PS and a maximum torque of 176.5 Nm. It runs on 5-speed manual transmission. Performance-wise, it has a weaker engine compared to its competitors. However, its fuel efficiency makes up for this lack of power. This is a practical vehicle for daily city driving. Its performance on the highway needs improvement, though. 

One of the major downsides of owning an Isuzu Traviz is its lack of advanced safety features or driver assistance systems. Its braking setup, however, is equipped with brake assist and control systems. It utilizes a ventilated disc for front braking and a leading and trailing drum for rear braking. It also has a reverse warning buzzer.

Considering its starting price, there are more affordable options that offer almost the same set of features and inclusions for commercial vehicle standards. However, if you want more space and a more modern and comfortable cabin, then the Isuzu Traviz would be a reliable and practical choice.
