A Big Cruiser With Timeless German Character
I've owned other cruisers before, but the BMW R18 is different. Its huge boxer engine looks great and has a lot of power, which makes driving on the highway feel easy. Its retro look makes people look twice, and I love how much thought went into making it. It's heavy, but it's surprisingly easy to move around in. The setting is good for long rides but not great for riding in cities with lots of traffic. As you might expect from a BMW, maintenance is efficient but costs a lot. The R18 is about style, history, and personality for me. This cruiser feels both old-fashioned and one-of-a-kind in the world of motorcycles today.
