    These are two types of OR/CR - one that is issued for new vehicles and another that is renewed after 3 years, post the expiry of the former.     Anybody who owns a registered motor vehicle or motorcycle can secure a duplicate OR/CR from LTO.

    Before you head out to the nearest LTO office to apply for a duplicate OR/CR, we suggest you go fully prepared with all the required documents. Coz without them your application would get stuck.

    • Notarized affidavit of loss/mutilation from the registered vehicle owner
    • Latest OR for payment of registration
    • Actual inspection of the vehicle
    • Motor Vehicle Inspection Report (duly accomplished & approved)
    • Two valid, government-issued IDs of the vehicle owner
    • Certificate from the company management (if MV or MC is company-owned)
    • Duly-signed authorization letter & vehicle owner’s IDs (if the vehicle owner is sending a representative in his place)

    • Next, hand over the notarized affidavit of loss and other required documents (as mentioned above) to the evaluator for evaluation and computation of fees
    • Time for Motor Vehicle Inspection; the car inspector will inspect the vehicle, verify the details in MVIR and vehicle ownership
    • Time to head over to the cashier where you’ll pay the required fees and thereafter you’ll obtain the duplicate Official Receipt (OR)
    • Next, proceed to the Releasing Counter where you’ll get your duplicate Certificate of Registration (CR) along with stickers, plates, and other required documents
