2020 Subaru Impreza Named One of PARENTS' "Best Cars for Teen Drivers"
Looking for a reliable car to give to your teens? Then you might want to put the 2020 Subaru Impreza into consideration.
Named by PARENTS as one of the five Best Cars for Teen Drivers list, the Subaru Impreza Sedan and 5-Door model received a 5-star overall crash-test rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), plus the model's advanced safety features, standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and proven durability.
"All-wheel drive, a feature that provides better traction on wet roads, comes standard on all models," PARENTS claimed.
"Plus, 97 percent of the Imprezas sold in the last 10 years are still on the road today so your teen will likely have the vehicle through college and beyond. (Or get a good price for a trade-in.)".
The entry-level Impreza with Lineartronic® CVT (continuously variable transmission) comes with a standard EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology, which includes Automatic Pre-Collision Braking and Throttle Management, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure and Sway Warning as well as Lead Vehicle Start Alert.
The 2020 Subaru Impreza comes with standard safety features that include front seat side-impact airbags, side curtain airbags, a driver's knee airbag and a rear vision camera with steering lines display.
It also comes with two new features: Automatic door locks and Rear Seat Reminder that helps avoid kids or pets from getting trapped inside the vehicle.
PARENTS magazine also cited Impreza's spacious interior as one of the best reasons why it could appeal to teenagers.
"The Impreza fits all their stuff!" PARENTS noted in its article. "When you fold down the back seats, there's so much room to haul belongings to college or sports equipment for a weekend adventure."
The 2020 Subaru Impreza boasts of a standard all-wheel drive on all trim levels. It also offers a hefty 55.3 cu. ft. of space when the rear seat-back is folded, allowing it to compete head-on with other small SUVs.
It comes with a standard 2.0-liter 4-cylinder SUBARU BOXER® engine with direct fuel injection that produces 152-horsepower and 197 N-m of torque. It can reach up to 15.31 km/l and more than 724 km on a full tank.
Aside from the Impreza, PARENTS magazine has also included four more Subaru models in its most coveted list: the 3-row Ascent SUV, Crosstrek Hybrid compact SUV, Forester SUV and Legacy midsize sedan.
