Audi PB 18 E-Tron Teased Ahead of Pebble Beach Debut
Electric cars are strongly positioning itself to be the future of mobility as auto manufacturers are developing its respective electric cars and supercars. Speaking of which, Audi is set to reveal an electric supercar dubbed as PB 18 E-Tron concept at the 2018 Pebble Beach Concourse d'Elegance Week.
The German automaker released a teaser image to announce the debut of its electric supercar, but the teaser doesn't give away much information. However, if you look closely you'll see that the PB 18 E-Tron electric supercar concept has a wide body, a low stance, sharp headlights, and prominent fender flares. Moreover, the electric supercar concept appears to have a panoramic sunroof.
Considering all those things, we can't help but notice that this concept is inspired by a Le Mans race car--the Audi R18 E-Tron LMP1 to be exact (see above photo for reference). In addition, the PB 18 E-Tron was designed by the new Audi Design Loft in Malibu, California.
If all goes according to plan, Audi's electric supercar will share its Pebble Beach debut with the all-new BMW Z4.
In our previous report, BMW released an invitation for the unveiling of "an all-new BMW production car," but the automaker didn't mention as what production car would they be revealing in Pebble Beach. Could it be the all-new Z4? That might be a possibility because BMW unveiled the Z4 concept at the exact same venue last year.
