MANILA: BYD Cars Philippines has further widened its hybrid offerings in the country with the introduction of the Sealion 5 DM-i.
The aforementioned model entered the Philippines a few months after the ACMobility-led automotive distributor launched the eMAX7 — showing the brand’s aggressive thrust in the local market.
“The BYD Sealion 5 DM-i delivers exceptional value—combining advanced technology, everyday functionality, and a size advantage that’s perfect for first-time buyers,” BYD Cars Philippines Managing Director Bob Palanca said.
“Powered by BYD’s proven Super DM-i technology, the Sealion 5 offers more of what matters to cost-conscious and practical car owners — a reliable and sustainable long-range driving companion. As more Filipinos adopt electrified mobility, the Sealion 5 DM-i will serve as the gateway to BYD and ACMobility’s vision of a greener Philippines,” he added.
Here’s what customers can have with the newly-revealed subcompact sport utility vehicle (SUV).
The newest addition to the Chinese automaker’s local Ocean Series, the BYD Sealion 5 DM-i has the following measurements:
