MANILA: ACMobility has launched the BYD Sealion 7 in the Philippines.
Pegged as the Chinese automaker’s leading fully electric sport utility vehicle, the newly-revealed offering merges the performance capabilities of the Seal EV sedan with the versatility and family-centric layout of a crossover.
“With the BYD Sealion 7, consumers no longer need to choose between high-performance thrill and everyday practicality,” BYD Cars Philippines Managing Director Bob Palanca said.
"Bridging sustainability and dynamic, exhilarating mobility, this vehicle marks another key milestone as we continue to lead the country’s charge towards electrification,” he added.
Here’s what you need to know about the BYD Sealion 7.
The vehicle offers an overall sleek design language.
Up front, the vehicle wears a clean-looking fascia, a headlamp assembly with outside lines that make up its daytime running light system, and air vents at the vehicle’s cheeks.

While its 20-inch wheels wrapped in 246/45-series highway tires express its agile stance. To add a modern touch, the vehicle is fitted with flush door handles.
At the back are the roof-mounted spoiler, a horizontal light bar that links the taillamps, a power tailgate with hands-free function (kick-sensor functionality), and a bumper with reflector inserts.
Inside, the BYD Sealion 7 is outfitted with premium amenities such as:

This lets the vehicle accelerate from 0-100 kilometers per hour in less than five seconds.
The mill, which comes with four drive modes—gets its juice from the 82.6-kilowatt-hour BYD Blade Battery, which gives the model an emissions-free range of 542 kilometers, based on New European Driving Cycle (roughly the same distance from Baguio to Parañaque and back).
This battery can also function as a mobile power station as the vehicle boasts vehicle-to-load (V2L) technology that allows drivers to plug in external appliances directly to the car.
