Caltex continues to grow reach, opens 15 retail sites in 2020 so far

Fuel giant Caltex, marketed by Chevron Philippines Inc. (CPI), is boosting its reach around the country after recently opening five new stations around key areas within the archipelago.

The five latest Caltex service stations in Cavite, Bacolod City, Tagbilaran City, and Puerto Princesa City were added to the growing network of the company—which has a total of 15 stations inaugurated this year despite the lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Last year, CPI has opened 30 new service stations and stated that they are "more determined to provide world class quality products that will meet motorists’ fuel needs."

The newest Cavite station is in Trece Martires-Indang Rd., Trece Martires City, Cavite. The new site is within the trading center of various agriculture produce, such as coffee and sugar cane.

Housing a dozen pump stations, the Caltex Trece Martires station is also set to serve nearby cities and municipalities. The station operates from 6AM to 6PM following the modified general community quarantine (MGCQ) guidelines.

Meanwhile, Chevron had a pair of service stations put up in Palawan, particularly in Puerto Princesa City. The fueling station in Brgy. San Jose operates round-the-clock, while the one in Brgy. Sicsican is open from 6AM-9PM.

The eight-pump station along Alijis Road, Bacolod City, Negros Occidental will be serving the needs of the Bacolodnons, whose province is known to produce quality sugar. The station is runs from 5AM-7PM during the general community quarantine (GCQ).

Brgy. San Isidro, Tagbilaran City, Bohol is where the latest Caltex service station is located. Placed at one of the biggest municipalities in Tagbilaran City, the six-pump fueling station operates from 5AM to 7PM.

Following the continuous growth of the economy, CPI Country Chairman Louie Zhang ensured that they will continue to provide fuel in the country.

 “We continue to provide uninterrupted fuel supply to the country’s needs and grow our retail network to help in the steady recovery of the economy. More businesses are starting to open up and more vehicles are filling the streets. They will need access to safe and quality fuels which Caltex offers in our growing retail network in key urban centers and thoroughfares across the country,” Zhang noted.  

He also said that this year’s station openings show the brand’s “strength of the Caltex brand and its business model for entrepreneurs.”

“Chevron remains committed to making the Filipino motorists’ journey a wonderful ride. We will continue to open Caltex stations across the country to serve more customers with their fuel needs and provide other vehicle or motorists support,” added Zhang.

Relatedly, CPI assured that they follow lockdown protocols as well as hygiene standards, regular temperature checks, observance social distancing, and frequent sanitation of areas with high human touchpoints are implemented in the stations. Also, they are offering contactless payment methods and are welcome to make use of the disinfectants or hand sanitizers located at the cashiers.

The latest working hours came following their move to adjust operating hours in Davao City.
