Caltex, Goodyear forge partnership to give Starcard users additional perks

Caltex — through Chevron Philippines Inc. (CPI) — has started a collaboration with Goodyear Philippines that will give additional benefits to users of the oil firm's Starcard offering.

The local marketer of Caltex fuels and lubricants locally said that the partnership allows cardholders to enjoy a five-percent discount on Goodyear consumer tires. In addition, StarCard holders will also gain access to Goodyear's exclusive and additional offers in the country.

“We know that fuel and tires are costly for a vehicle owner, and we want to provide our customers with more access to their fleet needs by easing up on costs. Through this partnership, we further advance Goodyear’s mission of ensuring that our clients always have a good driving experience," Goodyear Philippines Market Lead Mary Mel Balazo said.

For his part, CPI Business-to-business Manager for fuels and lubricants Jimmy Zuluaga noted that Caltex is keen on addressing the customers’ needs, noting that is constantly changing and the company must evolve with it. “This is a good partnership because Goodyear is very customer-centric. To note, the Caltex Starcard is a fully adaptable card payment service. It lets cardholders have complete control and convenience when it comes to fleet management. Customers can avail discounts and promos on Caltex lubricant products using their Starcard at all Caltex stations across the country.
