Changan, Mercedes-Benz boost Q1 2026 EV sales in PH
MANILA: Changan and Mercedes-Benz were among those that helped lead the shift to electrified mobility in the Philippines during the first quarter of 2026.
As far as the data of the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Incorporated (CAMPI) is concerned, the distributors of the two marques—both of which are under Inchcape Philippines—were part of the Top 10 best-selling battery-powered(BEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) list in the country for the the January-March timeline.
Based on the CAMPI data, the Chinese automotive brand ranked fifth in both BEV and PHEV categories. Meanwhile, the luxury marque placed seventh and 10th in PHEV and BEV classes, respectively.
“This performance reflects the growing interest in electrified mobility in the Philippines and the importance of offering customers meaningful choice. Through Changan and Mercedes-Benz, we aim to support different mobility needs, from more accessible electrified options to premium electric vehicles, while continuing to work with our partners to help build confidence in the transition to new energy vehicles,” Inchcape South Asia and Pacific Managing Director Alex Hammett said.
