MANILA: GAC International Philippines has officially launched three multi-purpose vehicles (MPV), which the local wing of the Chinese carmaker refers to as the MVP MPVs.

GAC GN6: All-scenario MPV
Positioned as an all-scenario MPV, the all-new GAC GN6 is marketed as the ideal vehicle for most Filipino families.
Photo by Cesar Guiderone MiguelIt is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with a seven-speed wet dual-clutch transmission that generates some 174 horsepower (hp) and 270 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque.
Touted as a daily driver and an occasional excursion car, the all-new GAC GN6 is capable of clocking in at 14 kilometers per liter with an estimated range of 728 kilometers with a full tank of gas.
Notable features include a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, 14.6-inch infotainment system, six-speaker audio system, and suite of advanced driver-assist systems (ADAS), such as adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, and lane keeping assist.

GAC E8 HEV: Mid-to-premium MPV
Families who are on the market for a mid-to-premium MPV can check out the GAC E8 HEV.

Combined range is at 1,000 km.
Occupants can enjoy the GAC E8 HEV’s 8.8-inch instrument panel, 14.6-inch multifunction touchscreen display, and wireless charging. In addition, safety features include integrated cruise assist, high beam assist, and lane departure warning.

GAC GN8 PHEV Executive: Built for the boss
Catering to large families with premium needs, as well as corporate clients, is the GAC GN8 PHEV.
Like the abovementioned, the MPV also uses a hybrid powertrain comprised of a 2.0-liter turbocharged Miller cycle engine supported by a permanent magnet synchronous motor and a two-speed dedicated hybrid transmission to make 373 hp and 630 Nm.

Features offered are power seats with ventilation and heating, sunshades, ambient lighting, as well as triple-zone air conditioning with an air filter and a fragrance system.
When it comes to safety, it gets active vehicle dynamic control, fusion automatic parking assist, autonomous emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control, among other technologies.
The GN8 PHEV retails at P3.488 million, but it is available with an introductory price of P3.338 million.
