The Ford Territory, being the larger of the two, offers a longer wheelbase and a higher ground clearance allowing owners to conquer more roads and overcome more terrains, resulting in overall better ride quality.
Across the board, the Ford Territory features LED headlamps, LED taillamps, and fog lamps front and back. Likewise, it comes with a rear spoiler and a panoramic sunroof regardless of the model. Depending on the variant though, it can come in either 17- or 18-inch alloy wheels.
On the other hand, the smaller Chevy Tracker will have various exterior features depending on the variant. The base model comes with halogen headlamps, bulb-type taillamps, and LED DRLs. The higher variant comes with an all-LED lighting fixture. In the same way, only the higher variant gets a panoramic sunroof.
With better features spread across the board, we give the win to the Ford Territory.
Interior
Inside, the Ford Territory comes with leather seats, a leather steering wheel, a leather center console, and a 10-inch infotainment system. The higher variant comes with a 10-inch instrument cluster while the lower variant comes with a 3.5-inch LCD screen.
Meanwhile, the Chevy Tracker features leather-style seats, steering wheel, and armrest. All models get an eight-inch infotainment system and an instrument cluster with two analog gauges and a small digital screen.
With better interior offerings, again we give the win to the Ford Territory.
Engine
Power of the Ford Territory comes from a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine mated to a CVT with Sport Mode. This setup gives the Ford Territory 141 horses and 225Nm of torque.
The Chevy Tracker sports a smaller 1.0-liter mill mated to a six-speed automatic with manual mode. This setup gives the Tracker a modest 116hp and 175Nm of torque.
For obvious reasons, this round goes to the Ford Territory.
Safety
In terms of safety, the range-topping Ford Territory offers a host of features like autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with forward collision warning, cruise control, enhanced active park assist with parallel and perpendicular parking assist, and blind-spot information system, among others.
Chevy equipped all Tracker models with ABS, EBD, cornering brake control, traction control, engine drag control, emergency brake warning, and rollover mitigation.
With more safety features evenly distributed across models, we give this round to the Chevy Tracker.
