Ferrari introduced a one-off commission, dubbed the BR20. The V12 two-seater coupe is based on the GTC4Lusso platform and features a sublime marriage of dynamic, modern good looks and styling flair inspired by Ferraris of the 1950s and '60s.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • How long did it take Ferrari to build the BR20?

According to the Italian carmaker, it took over one year to complete the BR20.
  • What modifications did Ferrari make for the BR20?

Bespoke details include the removal of the rear seats from the GTC4Lusso platform, a redesigned exterior, interior elements like dark brown Heritage Testa di Moro leather triums, and cross silver stitchings.
  • The Italian carmaker says that the BR20 incorporates themes typical of some of the most iconic 12-cylinders in Ferrari history, including the 410 SA and 500 Superfast.

The house of the Prancing Horse did not disclose who the car is for and how much was paid for it. However, the company was eager to discuss some of its details.

At the front end is a modern grille with horizontal slats and an upper carbon fiber element that contribute to the BR20’s formidable appeal. The headlights that flank the BR20’s wide nose are also modified with slimmer daytime running lights.

    The BR20 rides on unique 20-inch tone-on-tone diamond-finish wheels.

Its rear features a muscular bumper, aggressive-looking twin taillights, and redesigned twin exhausts pipes. Moreover, Ferrari says that the rear of the BR20 has been completely reworked to create a silhouette that beautifully emphasizes its proportions.

According to Ferrari, the ultra-sleek fastback line has been achieved by removing the two rear seats of the GTC4Lusso. The rear volume of the arch has been hollowed out to create an aerodynamic channel with the air outlet concealed by the black rear fascia under the spoiler.

In addition, the custom-made BR20 features a new cabin design that mirrors the elements found on the coupe’s luxurious yet sporty exterior. It comes with two shades of brown leather and carbon fiber — a combination developed according to the client’s specifications, said Ferrari.

The seats are finished in dark brown Heritage Testa di Moro leather and feature an exclusive pattern at the front as well as silver cross-stitching. The BR20 features a luggage compartment allowing its owner to enjoy plenty of room for a few essentials.

It took Ferrari’s Special Projects Program more than 12 months to work on the BR20. Ferrari says that despite its bespoke specifications, it is still engineered to the same levels of excellence that characterize every other Maranello production car.
