Ford PH boasts safer night driving with next-gen roster

Ford Philippines said that its next-generation lineup — made up of the Ranger, Everest, and Territory are perfect vehicles when it comes to driving in the dark.

Here are the points that made the three vehicles — through their driver-assist features and safety technologies — assure that drivers are safe and sound when navigating roads after the sun goes down.

Headlights

Since headlights are indispensable equipment at night, Ford Philippines’ next-generation models have their LED lighting system equipped with an automatic high-beam feature as part of their suite of advanced driver-assist technologies.

Per the Blue Oval brand’s local arm, the no-glare high beam uses a windshield-mounted camera to detect the headlights or taillights of vehicles and bicycles up to 800 meters away at night.

Adaptive cruise control

All three Philippine-spec Ford next-generation models come with an intelligent adaptive cruise control (ACC) function with stop-and-go technology where the system automatically scans the vehicles ahead of them and gives the option to set the distance to be maintained from the vehicle. The same function gives drivers the option to set their Ford vehicles’ cruising speed.

Lane keeping assist features

Further, the next-generation Ford Ranger, Territory, and Everest has lane departure warning, lane keeping aid and collision mitigation system so that motorists can ensure that they stay in their respective lanes — especially during nighttime.

Enjoyable tech

To ensure that you stay awake when driving at night, Ford’s next-generation lineup is also fitted with modern tech features in its infotainment system that can easily be connected via Wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto.

“Night driving with the next-generation Ford vehicle lineup is now safer. With the Ford Ranger, Ford Territory, and Ford Everest, driver-assist features and safety technologies have been built into the vehicle design to ensure a hassle-free, more secure night drive,” Ford Philippines shared in a statement.
