Ford shows off Mustang Mach-E GT, Team Fordzilla P1, and Mustang Mach‑E 1400 at Goodwood

Ford showcases an all-electric lineup at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on the grounds of Goodwood House, West Sussex, England, ongoing until July 11. 

Due to make an appearance and driving debut at Goodwood this weekend, is the Mustang Mach-E GT. The all-electric SUV will take on the famous hill climb alongside the Mustang Mach‑E 1400 which will be driven by Ford President and CEO Jim Farley.

The full-size replica of the Team Fordzilla P1 concept race car also makes its global appearance at Goodwood featuring an all-new livery celebrating the 55th anniversary of Ford’s famous Le Mans 24 Hours 1-2-3 victory.

In addition, Ford also unveiled the Ford Puma WRC hybrid on the first day of the event (yesterday, July 8).  The next-gen rally car will participate in the highly-anticipated 2022 FIA World Rally Championship.

These cars will embody Ford’s “fun-to-drive” character that has helped define generations of the automaker’s vehicles. Ford also reinforces its commitment to continue delivering the most engaging, stimulating, and rewarding driving experiences for customers — whether they choose mild hybrid, full hybrid, plug-in hybrid, or all‑electric powertrains.

Now we’re ready to shift fun-to-drive into a new gear for the all-electric era, supported by innovative new powertrain and connectivity technologies, and starting with our all-new, all-electric Mustang Mach-E,” said Ford Europe’s GM for Passenger Vehicles, Roelant de Waard.

Ford announced earlier this year that 100 percent of its passenger vehicle range in Europe will be zero-emissions capable, all-electric, or plug-in hybrid by mid-2026 and will conclude to all-electric offering by 2030.

Now, Ford also adds to its promise to deliver innovative and fun vehicles not only for the driver sitting behind the wheel but also for its passengers. Ford says that they are testing inventive technologies including the Mustang Mach-E’s Whisper mode, the FordPass Connect, and the next-gen Sync technology.

“To build cars that customers love, you first need to truly understand what customers want. We’ve taken that thinking to extremes with the Team Fordzilla P1 race car, and we’ve applied the same innovative approach to creating our Puma ST Gold Edition that customers will actually be able to order later this year. It’s exactly this kind of human-centred design that’s going to take us to a whole new level of fun-to-drive in the electrified era,” said Ford Europe Design Director Amko Leenarts.
