Fourth-Gen Mazda 3 Finally Revealed in PH
After all the fanfare, Mazda Philippines has finally revealed the fourth-generation Mazda 3, and brought it at a very competitive price range.
The Mazda 3 comes in two different body styles--hatch and sedan--and five variants with a premium look and feel.
The latest Mazda 3 is available with two types of powertrain: the base model is fitted with a 1.5-liter DOHC Skyactiv-G engine that delivers 109 horsepower and 146 Nm of torque while the top-tier variant receives a 2.0-liter DOHC Skyactiv-G engine able to provide 152 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque. Both engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with Sport mode.
Power windows, keyless entry, dynamic stability control, and the 8.8-inch infotainment display comes as standard across all Mazda 3 offerings.
The mid-range Mazda 3 is beyond par compared to some of their competitor's top-spec'd variants; with its 12-speaker Bose sound system, a frameless auto-dimming rearview mirror, a power-adjustable driver's seat with memory function, and adaptive LED headlights.
Meanwhile, the range-topping Speed variant has Brilliant Black trim on the exterior and red leather seats in the cabin.
Pricing for the all-new Mazda 3 starts PHP1.295 million for the Mazda 3 1.5-liter Sedan Elite, followed by the Mazda 3 1.5-liter Sportback Elite with a price tag of PHP1.320 million.
The Premium variants are pegged at PHP1.495 million for the Mazda 3 2.0-liter Sedan Premium and PHP1.510 million for the Mazda 3 2.0-liter Sportback Premium.
The most expensive of the fleet is the Mazda 3 2.0-liter Sportback Speed, which can be bought for PHP1.590 million.
