Honda bares next-gen safety features

Honda has unveiled the next-generation Honda Sensing 360 and Honda Sensing Elite offering new technologies for its safety and driver-assist systems.

  • On top of the existing Honda Sensing 360 technologies, which are the collision mitigation braking system (CMBS), front cross-traffic warning, active lane change assist, and lane change collision mitigation, Honda will be adding advanced in-lane driving with handsfree function, advanced lane change with hands-off function, a driver emergency support system, and exit warning.

    As for the Honda Sensing Elite, Honda will offer driver-assistance on non-expressway roads, driver assistance for all expressway driving situations, and automatic parking assist.

    “Honda is striving for zero traffic collision fatalities involving Honda motorcycles and automobiles globally by 2050. By leveraging strengths unique to a company that conducts both motorcycle and automobile business in the research and development of safety technologies, Honda will work sincerely toward the realization of a collision-free society for everyone sharing the road,” Honda said in a press release.
