Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) has updated the
Honda Civic 1.8 E variant, fitting it with some kit that the range-topping--at least until the
Honda Civic Type R gets here--
Honda Civic RS doesn't even have, along with a couple of more features that the RS does have.
What features does it get that the RS doesn't even have?
One is the
Power Folding Side Mirrors, which gives the driver "the ability to control and fold the side mirrors in different driving situations and road conditions." Another new feature the E variant gets that the RS doesn't have is the
Speed-Sensing Auto Door Lock that automatically locks the doors once it reaches
15 kph, providing both convenience and safety to the car's occupants.
What featuers does it get from the RS?
The E variant also gets two additional features from the RS, like the
Remote Engine Start Function that not only starts the car's engine even if the smart key is outside the car but also turns on its Auto Climate Control System to cool the cabin even before its occupied. Another feature is the
Walk-Away Auto Lock which automatically locks the car's doors when the distance between the smart key and the car itself exceeds 2.5 meters.
What engine does the Honda Civic E have and how much is it?
The Honda Civic E variant is powered by a
1.8-liter engine that puts out
139 hp and
171 Nm of torque and paired to it is a
Continuously Variable Transmission developed under Honda's Earth Dreams Technology.

Honda Civic 1.8 E is available at all Honda dealerships for
P1.103 million while the 1.8 E with the
Modulo kit is at
P1.158 million.
