all-new Honda CBR650R

Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI) announced the arrival of the all-new CBR650R in the country.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • What powers the all-new Honda CBR650R?

The latest offering is equipped with a 649cc engine delivering 94hp and 63Nm of torque.
  • How much is the Honda CBR650R?

    It is priced at P530,000.
  • Considered as CBR500R’s (released in November last year) big brother, HPI’s latest offering is powered by a 649cc, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 16-valve, DOHC inline four-cylinder engine that can deliver as much as 94hp and 63Nm of torque. It also comes with a slipper clutch to ensure the motorcycle’s drivability during abrupt downshifts.

Almost similar to the lower displacement sibling, the all-new Honda CBR650R features Showa 41mm SFF-BP USD front forks, 310mm x 4.5mm front dual disc brakes with Nissin radial-mount four-piston calipers and 240 mm x 5mm disc with single piston caliper at the rear, as well as a two-channel anti-brake lock system.

Aside from that, the all-new Honda CBR650R also wears a full LED lighting system and a negative-display LCD meter panel that shows the gear position, digital speedometer, fuel consumption, water temperature gauge, and shift-up indicator.

Further, it comes with an Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) — to warn vehicles behind of should there be sudden braking — and the Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) for traction control on slippery surfaces or during aggressive riding conditions.

"The all-new CBR650R not just boasts the ideal blend of sporty performance and everyday versatility, this model is also an inviting on-road touring companion. Along with its aggressive inspired body work, strong dose of CBR sporting intent, this muscular machine is also an expressway-legal bike, making it more well-built and poised enough for weekend fun,” HPI shared in a statement.

Offered in Grand Prix Red and Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic body colors, the all-new Honda CBR650R is priced at P530,000 and is now available at all Honda flagship stores nationwide.
