  • The leading motorcycle distributor in the country said in a statement that the 7-millionth unit was a special TMX125 Alpha edition that sports a Café Racer-inspired styling.

The achievement of the 7-Millionth production milestone serves as an affirmation of HPI’s commitment to continuously respond to the customers' need for mobility, as we realize Honda’s Global Vision to “serve people worldwide with the joy of expanding their life’s potential,” HPI President Susumu Mitsuishi was quoted as saying.

“We aim to improve our customers' daily lives through experiencing Honda products and services that exceed their expectations,” he added.

The company shared that over the years, the Honda TMX125 Alpha (which is a well-known nameplate in the business category model due to its high quality, power, and affordability) was the preferred model for custom bike enthusiasts due to its simplicity and ease of modification.

The Honda TMX125 Alpha’s overhead valve power mill — which utilizes a push rod to balance acceleration and control — allows the motorcycle to have a 62.5 kilometers per liter fuel consumption, making it a good everyday ride.

Apart from the Honda TMX125 Alpha, HPI offers a diverse lineup, ranging from big bikes, scooters, on-road sports to off-road sports as well as underbone and business motorcycles.

HPI produces the examples of its offerings at the company’s 20-hectare facility in Batangas.

Amid the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, HPI said that it has achieved its yearly targets and has maintained being at the top in terms of local motorcycle market share.

Relatively, HPI attributed the latest milestone to its business partners, stakeholders, and Filipino customers.

HPI was established following the formation of Mariwasa-Honda Inc. in 1973, before being renamed to HPI in 1983.
