The use of the new name was made official last February 1, Tuesday, and is a result of Hyundai’s extensive consumer market research.

Hyundai also said that the rebranding will make it easier for customers to understand the program and add confidence to the used vehicle ownership experience.

Alongside the name change is a new marketing campaign that includes video content, point-of-sale materials, and social media marketing launches. An updated website will also allow Hyundai customers looking to drive home a pre-loved vehicle to check out available units.

Hyundai also adds that every Certified Used Hyundai comes with a 173-point inspection, America’s Best Certified Used Vehicles Warranty, and a free CARFAX report, among others. The warranty of the new Hyundai Certified Used Vehicles program includes a 10-year/100,000-mile certified used vehicles powertrain limited warranty, 10-year/unlimited miles roadside assistance, and a 10-year/100,000-mile hybrid/EV battery warranty.

Hyundai’s customers in the US can expect to see newer models from the Hyundai Certified Used Vehicles lineup. In addition, Hyundai said that its units from their Hyundai Certified Used Vehicles program often come with lower mileage (less than 80,000 miles) compared to most vehicles sold elsewhere.

The aforementioned 173-point inspection ensures an extensive mechanical, safety, and appearance check on each unit while the CARFAX report gives would-be owners of these pre-loved cars a complimentary, detailed vehicle history report.
