Isuzu PH delivers 98 Traviz units to Zamboanga City gov’t

Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) recently delivered some 98 brand-new units of Traviz to the city government of Zamboanga.

The Japanese vehicle manufacturer’s local distributor said in a statement that the aforementioned turnover— made during the celebration of the 124th year of Philippine Independence last June 12— contributed to the local milestone that the lightweight truck recently achieved.

According to IPC, the Isuzu Traviz units with rescue vehicle body type are equipped with strobe lights with built-in siren and PA system and a spine board. The examples shall be distributed to the different barangays within the city, which will boost the local government’s response during emergencies and calamities.

IPC Department Head for Dealer Sales Mario Ojales officially turned over the units to Zamboanga City Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco Salazar, Councilor Digong Asdali, Vice Mayor-elect Josephine Pareja, Councilor-elect James Pantaleon Siason and Councilor-elect Eddie Saavedra.

IPC shared that the city government “took into consideration the competitive pricing and fuel-efficiency” of Isuzu Traviz that makes it the “convenient and ideal for multi-purpose trips in the barangays.”

The vehicle’s 50-liter fuel tank capacity allows it to travel as much as 1,063 kilometers based on the test observed and certified by the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP) in April 2022.

Powering the vehicle is the 4JA1 2.5-liter common rail, direct-inject Euro4-rated Blue Power diesel engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Also, the Isuzu Traviz has the capacity to haul up to 1.6 tons of payload.

Further, the vehicle has turning radius of 4.5 meters that allows it to maneuver in busy and narrow streets.

As part of its celebration for the nameplate’s recent achievement, IPC launched the “10K Thank You Treat” — a series of promotions for existing and potential Traviz customers. The promo includes:

• 10,000 liters worth of fuel to be raffled off to 500 customers nationwide who will purchase or reserve a Traviz unit
• P10,000 cash Traviz referral bonus on top of the existing P10,000 referral fee that IPC is already offering for both existing and potential customers
• 10-percent discount on labor and parts for any periodic maintenance service (PMS) or general job with free one-liter Isuzu Genuine Motor Oil XTRM.

The Isuzu Traviz was introduced to the Philippine market in November 2019.
