Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) recently donated an Isuzu D-Max pick-up truck to Caritas Manila, one of the country’s highly-recognized social service institutions.
Last October 29, IPC, through its president Hajime Koso, handed over the key and sole unit of Isuzu D-Max to representatives of Caritas Manila, led by Rev. Fr. Antonio Pascual. The ceremony was done at the Caritas Manila grounds, and was witnessed by Isuzu Gencars Chairman Edgard Cabangon, a supporter of the Catholic-led organization.
Prior to the vehicle turnover, Isuzu has been supporting Caritas Manila as one of the chosen beneficiaries of the “Kasama Mo” campaign. Through this initiative, Caritas Manila has received sets of personal protective equipment (PPE) from IPC’s customers and stakeholders last July 10 and October 1.
In his speech during the turnover ceremony, Koso expressed contentment over their constant support to the organization.
“Isuzu Philippines is truly delighted to be able to help in the endeavors of Caritas Manila to enrich and uplift the lives of the Filipinos through various social and livelihood programs. We firmly believe that this Isuzu D-MAX would support your future operations in terms of disaster relief and community outreach in the various parts of the country,” Koso was quoted as saying.
The Isuzu D-Max is set to help their men and women of Caritas Manila with their logistics and transportation needs.
