Lamborghini achieves best H1 results
Year 2022 continues to be a very fruitful year for Automobili Lamborghini after the company hit its best record for the first half of the year in terms of sales, turnover, and profitability.
In a statement, the Raging Bull marque shared that its global deliveries for the first six months of the year reached 5,090 units, which reflected a 4.9-percent growth. Aside from that, financial indicators turnover reached €1.33 billion, which marked an increase of 30.6 percent over the same period last year.
Further, the company’s operating profit went up by 69.6 percent, going from €251 million to €425 million. Automobili Lamborghini attributed its profitability in the January-June 2022 period to the “increase in volumes; the product mix; higher customization; and positive exchange rates.”
“We have come to the end of an exceptional first half of the year, despite ongoing uncertainty caused by the geopolitical situation. The outlook is equally positive, with orders taken already covering the whole of 2023 production,” Automobili Lamborghini Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Stephan Winkelmann said.
“This is a very challenging time but Lamborghini is facing it successfully thanks to a clear long-term strategy, which is bolstered by the brand’s great appeal. The results from the first half underline the positive trend and strengthen our conviction that we can end 2022 with a significant increase in results compared to the previous year,” Automobili Lamborghini Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer Paolo Poma added.
For the initial six months of 2022, United States had the biggest volume of deliveries with 1,521 units sold, followed by Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Macau that rolled out a total of 576 cars rolled out to clients. Germany was able to turn over 468 examples to buyers. The United Kingdom and the Middle East were the fourth and fifth biggest markets for Automobili Lamborghini after the company released 440 and 282 units there, respectively.
In terms of model split, the Lamborghini Urus cornered 61 percent of the total sales output, while the Huracán and Aventador (the latter of which is reaching the end of production) account for 39 percent.
Furthermore, Automobili Lamborghini announced that there will be three new product announcements for the year: two regarding Urus and one Huracán.
