Lamborghini Squadra Corse, the Italian carmaker's
motorsport division, has created its
first one-off that's based on the L
amborghini Aventador but has many styling elements that were inspired by the race cars based on the
Lamborghini Huracan that participates in various motorsport series.
Called
Lamborghini SC18, the one-off Lamborghini was developed by the Squadra Corse along with the customer and
Centro Stile Lamborghini, the brand's in-house customization specialist. The SC18 features extreme aerodynamics, developed specifically for this model and derived from Squadra Corse's experience in competition with the Huracan. From the front starting with the hood, the
air intakes are derived from the
Huracan GT3 EVO while the
sides and rear feature fenders,
fins and airscoops are inspired by the
Huracán Super Trofeo EVO. At the back, the
large carbon fiber wing allows for
three mechanical adjustments to
generate the optimal downforce on any circuit while the
12 air intakes on the engine cover
increase heat exchange and improve the cooling of the V12 engine.

The SC18 is powered by a
6.5-liter V12 engine that puts out
770 hp and
720 Nm of torque through a
seven-speed gearbox--the same drivetrain combo used in what Automobili Lamborghini Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Stefano Domenicali has described as
"the absolute pinnacle of our super sports car product range" in the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ.
For its exterior, the carbon fiber body is painted in
Grigio Daytona with visible details and red screen-printing to enhance its sportiness. Inside, the cabin is clad in
Nero Ade Alcantara with
Rosso Alala cross-stitching. Completing the SC18's look are its
109 mm ground clearance,
single-nut wheels--20-inch on the front and 21-inch on the rear--with
specially-developed Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires, and a telemetry system to measure all aspects of performance on the track.
