Land Rover brings Defender Octa, Range Rover Sport SV Edition Two to PH

MANILA: Inchcape Philippines has formally launched its two latest local offerings from Land Rover: the all-new Defender Octa and Range Rover Sport SV Edition Two.

The newest additions to the European marque’s lineup in the country come with mild-hybrid powertrains to match premium technologies and modern amenities.

Here are some details about the two new products from Land Rover Philippines.

Defender Octa

The all-new Land Rover Defender Octa sports a squared look with “purposeful” aesthetic upgrades.

Its updated front fascia comes with a wider grille that helps cool the engine faster and a graphite-coated and aluminum cover to protect the mill from underneath.

At the side are 22-inch alloy wheels that are wrapped with either a 33-inch Goodyear all-terrain tires or Michelin road-going all-season tires.

Sitting at the center of its dashboard is an 11.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system that has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. This is mated to a 29-piece Meridian sound system and “Body and Soul” chairs that provides haptic feedback.

Sitting in front of the electronically-adjustable multi-functional steering wheel are the digital gauge cluster and a head-up display. 

Further guaranteeing comfort inside the all-new Land Rover Defender Octa is its dual-zone automatic air-conditioning system with rear vents and rear independent controls.

Its eight-speed automatic transmission delivers the aforementioned churn to all four wheels. This configuration allows it to cover 100 kilometers per hour (kph) from rest in four seconds.

Range Rover Sport SV Edition Two

With only 2,500 examples globally, the all-new Land Rover Range Rover Sport SV Edition Two serves as the nameplate’s top-tier offering.

Unlike the all-new Land Rover Defender Octa, the look of this vehicle shows that its bias is towards being utilized on-road.

While it still carries the distinct Range Rover Sport design, the new product is outfitted with carbon fiber portions that help it cut down 32 kilograms on its overall weight. These parts include its hood and 23-inch wheels.

Helping the vehicle with aerodynamics and engine cooling are the lower front bumper with wider air intakes, a pronounced front lip, a roof-mounted rear spoiler, and diffuser.
